HADA Provides New Car

to Hawaii’s State Teacher of the Year

Pascale Pinner, who teaches 7th and 8th grade science at Hilo Intermediate School, was named the Hawaii 2008 State Teacher of the Year at Board of Education ceremonies Thursday, October 18, at Kailua Intermediate School on Oahu.

Pinner received use for a year of a new 2007 Mazda CX-7, compliments of Hawaii’s franchised new car dealers. The Hawaii Automobile Dealers Association (HADA), represented by dealer Mike McKenna, owner of Windward Ford, was there to present Pinner with a ceremonial key to the car.

Ms. Pinner’s new 2007 Mazda CX-7 is a mid-sized cross-over vehicle that Road & Track magazine calls “part SUV and part sportscar.”
HADA uses some of the funds from its annual auto show to provide a car for the State Teacher of the Year. A life size picture of the State Teacher of the Year and her car will be displayed at the 2008 First Hawaiian International Auto Show in Honolulu in March 6-9, 2008.
