Serving Our Community

Each of HADA's 70 dealerships are active in the community and the Association produces several combined community projects. The Association has assisted the Department of Education with the 7 Cars for 7 Teachers project, provided $8,000 to Ronald McDonald House, $5,000 to Junior Achievement. HADA also contributed $5,000 to the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund and donated $5,000 to the MDA event honoring dealer Joe Nicolai.

In past years HADA provided three $500 scholarships each year to Honolulu Community College's Auto Tech Training program. Now, through the generosity of donors and bidders at the Hawaii Auto Tech Scholarship (HATS) auction, held at the last two HADA conventions, $10,000 to $15,000 is now awarded annually to scholarship recipients in increments of $1000 each to students selected by community college programs on four islands.
