Past Events
2026 Dealer Day at the Capitol
HADA members participated in the annual “Dealer Day at the Capitol” and were recognized at the House and Senate Floor Sessions.
The day consisted of multiple meetings with legislators to build connections, to highlight workforce development efforts, and to put faces to policies. HADA is committed to serving as an auto industry resource for the Hawaii State Legislature.
HADA Annual Conventions
The 2025 Annual Convention, “Thriving During Turbulent Times,” was held at the Fairmont Orchid on Hawaiʻi Island. The exciting three-day event featured inspiring keynote speakers, a golf tournament, and the inaugural pickleball open play tournament.
Workforce Development Initiatives
As part of HADA’s commitment to workforce development, we partnered with Honolulu Community College to give students a firsthand look at the auto industry.
Through summer dealership visits, students explored career paths and gained insight into the future of automotive innovation in Hawaiʻi.

Dealer Day at the Capitol
HADA hosted “Dealer Day” at the Hawaii State Capitol. Members met and engaged with legislators to discuss EV implementation, workforce challenges and the future of Hawaii’s auto industry.
HADA members also met with the Department of Transportation to learn more about the State’s Road Usage Charge Program.
LCC Automotive Tech Program 50th Anniversary
HADA sponsored Leeward Community College Automotive Tech Program’s 50th Anniversary celebration. Current students and instructors came together, as well as program graduates, past instructors, and automotive dealers to connect and celebrate this milestone anniversary.
Hawaii State Teacher of the Year
HADA presented Bryan Silver, a Kalani High School science and Career and Technical Education teacher and 2025 Hawaii State Teacher of the Year with a 2024 Nissan Sentra. Silver was selected from over 13,000 educators across the state.
